I had such a beautiful weekend with my BRAKING AIDS® Ride family! I am also filled with so much love and gratitude for all the friends and family who support the ride, help us honor the loved ones we have lost and empower those living with HIV, and enable our community to continue the fight to end AIDS. Together, we raised $420,000 and counting to support Housing Works lifesaving services and advocacy.
As of this writing, I have raised more than $23,000 from over 145 generous donors. AND YES, YOU CAN STILL DONATE OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS:
Below is a BRAKING AIDS® Ride 2026 video recap, from my time helping with event prep in the days leading up to the ride to the protest we participated in at Philadelphia City Hall on Friday along with Housing Works and other community-based AIDS organizations to my two incredible days on the road.
Because of the generous gifts from over 145 of you and counting, Housing Works can continue to provide comprehensive life-saving services while also fighting for policies promoting social justice and saving crucial funding for HIV programs locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. Just last year alone, Housing Works accomplished the following:
- served 15,000+ clients, who were able to receive health care, housing, and other crucial services
- provided 80,000+ health care visits to clients
- operated 815 supportive and transitional housing units for those in greatest need
- restored $5.3 million in funding to crucial NYC HIV programs
- organized 50+ advocacy mobilizations across NYC, DC, and Albany
Because BRAKING AIDS® Ride 2026 is unrestricted funding, those dollars pay for much of that essential, ongoing advocacy work.
